Braid Termination Rings
Intrinsic Devices now produces a family of heat shrinkable rings as a
drop-in replacement for TE Connectivity (Raychem) Tinel-Lock®
rings. These rings are used to terminate cable shielding braids to connector
backshells. The backshells, also called adaptors, are machined with a specially
textured cylindrical surface where the ring clamps the braid. Various connector
accessory manufacturers can supply these backshells.
For the time being, we are offering rings for even entry sizes from 04 to 18 with A and B variants for different braid wire gages. The following documentation is available.

been using other braids with TE’s rings, you will achieve the same results

requirements of TE’s Customer Drawing TR rev. E Tinel-Lock®
Ring.
PD012 Braid Termination
Barrel
Defines the dimensional requirements for the adapter rear termination barrel
where the ring will clamp the braid.
Please note, BR rings are bulk packaged, typically in plastic tubes. They are not individually bagged and tagged.

BC Series Braid Termination Rings We also offer braid termination rings for smaller cable assemblies. Our BC series rings are offered in 02 and 03 entry sizes. The rings can be used for single layers of 36, 38 or 40 AWG braid. The diameter of the fitting is adjusted to suit the wire gage of the braid used in the assembly.
